Privacy Policy

The 611 · operated by The 611 LLC

Effective: July 5, 2026 · Version 1.0

The 611 is a private, verified community for women, operated by The 611 LLC (“The 611,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use The 611 — through our website, our mobile app, or the installable web app — how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to all members and applicants.

By creating an account or using The 611, you agree to the practices described here. This policy works alongside our Community Standards.

Information We Collect

Account & identity

To create and secure your account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, a password, and your date of birth. Authentication is handled by our sign-in provider (Clerk). We use your phone number and date of birth to verify eligibility and help keep the community trusted and adults-only.

Profile information

Your profile may include a photo, a short bio, links you choose to add (such as Instagram, LinkedIn, or a website), and optional contact details (personal or work email and phone) that are shared with other members only if you choose to make them visible. You control what appears on your profile through your settings.

Membership & application

When you apply to join, we collect the information you provide in your application, including referral details from the members who vouch for you. This helps us verify that new members meet our community criteria.

Content you create

We store the content you post — posts, comments, reactions, statuses, board answers, events, directory listings — so we can provide the service.

Payment information

Membership payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly; we do not store your full card number. We keep a record of your subscription and payment status so we can manage your membership.

Notifications & device tokens

If you enable notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can deliver notifications through Apple’s and Google’s push services (and web push in a browser). You can turn notifications off at any time in your device or app settings.

Usage & analytics

We use a product-analytics provider (PostHog) to understand how The 611 is used so we can improve it — for example, which pages are viewed and which features are used. This includes a session-replay tool that records interactions with the interface to help us diagnose problems and improve usability. Form inputs are masked in these recordings (for example, anything you type into a field is hidden), and we do not use this data for advertising.

Diagnostics & logs

We use an error-monitoring service (Sentry) to capture crashes and technical errors so we can keep the service reliable. Our systems also log standard technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, secure the service, and measure usage as described above. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your information to advertisers.

How We Use Your Information

  • To create your account, verify eligibility, and operate the community and member directory.
  • To deliver the features you use — posts, events, groups, and notifications.
  • To process membership payments and manage your subscription.
  • To keep the community safe: moderation, enforcing our Community Standards, and responding to reports.
  • To understand and improve how The 611 works.
  • To communicate with you about your account, your membership, and important updates.

How We Share Your Information

Our promise:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

With other members

Your profile and the content you post are visible to other verified members according to the visibility settings you choose. Consider what you are comfortable sharing before you post.

With service providers

We share information with trusted companies that help us run The 611, only as needed to provide their service to us. These include: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (secure database and hosting), Cloudflare (security and content delivery), and Apple and Google (push-notification delivery).

For legal & safety reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to protect the safety of a member or the public, investigate fraud or a violation of our Community Standards, or respond to a valid legal request.

Your Choices & Rights

  • Access & update: You can view and edit your profile and account information in your settings at any time.
  • Export & delete: You can request to export or delete your account and associated data through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Notifications: You can turn push and email notifications on or off in your settings and on your device.
  • Correction & other rights: Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. You can exercise these rights through your settings or by contacting us.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes) or where information remains in routine backups for a limited time before being overwritten.

Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. No online service can be completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data and will notify you promptly of any breach that affects your account, as required by law.

Children’s Privacy

The 611 is intended for women 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

Where Your Information Is Processed

The 611 is operated in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access The 611 from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the effective date above and notify members by email or in-app message. Your continued use of The 611 after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
